New York State Parks Make Spectacular Places to Visit
The New York State Parks in the area make spectacular places for tourists to visit during their stay in the area.
Lake Erie
Long Point, Midway/Amusement Park and Alleghany are all State Parks close to
Chautauqua.
Each of these parks offer their own special attractions. Whether you are looking for a place to picnic and just spend a day or if you're looking for a park where you can camp,
fish
or hike, you will be able to find the right park for those activities. All of the parks are equipped with pavilions for family reunions or large, summer get togethers. All provide recreational activities for individuals and families ranging from swimming areas, to putt putt courses, to a rollerskating rink, to paddle boat and canoe rentals.

Some of the parks offer cabin rentals or
camping sites
One of the parks offers a small amusement park, perfect for children of all ages.

Be sure to visit one or all of the parks during your stay. You will not be disappointed.
Visit Letchworth State Park
within a 2 and 1/2 hour drive for a wonderful trip. It is referred to as the Grand Canyon of the East. I visited there in October and it was breathtaking. See a photo below of my trip.
