After landing my first teaching job nearly 25 years ago, I found myself living in this small, quaint, quiet town. I had done a little bit of skiing prior to living here but would not have considered myself an avid skier. Within a short time after living here, of course, I had the chance to visit Holiday Valley and found myself in a beautiful, unique setting in the Allegany Mountains. What a treat it was to, not only visit, but live in this beautiful atmosphere. I began skiing much more often and loved the little town I lived in. During the winter months, the town is buzzing with ski enthusiasts. Holiday Valley Ski Resort is one of the most popular and largest in Western New York State. During the summer, activities include golf, mountain biking, hiking and swimming. Lodging, restaurants, shopping and the conference center are all designed to make visitors welcome and comfortable. The beautiful resort is perfect in any season.
Many come to this reort town for a night or a weekend and sometimes even an extended vacation. There are several condominiums and other Ellicottville rentals available within the small community. Real estate and rental property can be found through local agents.
